Hi Splash Divers

We have had some great diving this past week and it looks like it will continue through till at least lunchtime on Sunday.  Last weekend we had boat charters to Thoms Rock and Sharks Tooth.  This weekend we have charters within the Marine Reserve to celebrate the two year anniversary.   I dived out front of the shop this morning, 10 metres visibility, blue cod, paua, kina and moki.  The Marine Reserve is definitely working.

Last season someone left a blue BCD behind at the end of one of our club dives. Check your dive gear and let us know if you have one missing.  Someone also found a weight belt while scallop diving in Evans Bay this week, let us know if you've lost one.

GST increases to 15% October 1st and some of our pricing will increase.  Buy now to beat the price rise. 

Tank testing and regulator servicing is usually very busy from October onwards. Beat the rush and be ready for summer by bringing your gear in during September.

SPEARFISHING DAY THIS SATURDAY...with Jason
Meet at Splash at 8am and head round the coast in 4 wheel drives. Spaces are limited and you need to bring $10 cash to help with gas.

Meet at Splash at the earlier time of 9am.

 

POOR KNIGHTS TRIP LABOUR WEEKEND OCTOBER
We still have one space available on this trip, four days of liveaboard diving at one of the best dive sites in the world.

Join Dave for three days of diving Lake Taupo. Do your advanced course, drift course, altitude or deep course...or just chill and have a weekend away with some great dives.

 

NIUE WHALE ADVENTURE...September 2011
Last time we had such a good time, we are going again. If you want to see humpack whales up close and personal, this is the trip for you. Register your interest and we will forward the details shortly.

 

DRYSUIT TRIALS
Trident have loaned us some trial drysuits. If you have always wanted to try a drysuit, now's your chance. We can run a drysuit specialty course for $195 or just have a go in the pool for $35.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
We haven't had a single entry in this months photo comp, mabye the subject matter was too elusive. The photo needs to have a scallop in it.  Bring in a hardcopy and put it on the photoboard and you will likely win this months catergory...only 5 days to go.

 

REFRESHER DIVE
If you haven't been in the water for a while and want to ease into it, join us for a pool session in Kilbirnie 5m pool September 12th. $35 includes pool entry and hire gear if needed.
