Hi Divers
Congratulations to our new Open Water divers: Suchew Tang, Virginie Beachman, Hamish Beachman, Takashi Sawada, William Cook and Andrew Coleman, well done guys and we hope to see you out divng again soon. Lisa is on holiday for the next three weeks, heading to the UK and Ireland. The weather people are telling us we will have northerly winds for the rest of the week, so the South Coast should be good for diving, but give us a call anytime to check the conditions.
POOR KNIGHTS LABOUR WEEKEND OCTOBER
Our Poor Knights trips are always popular and book out months in advance. We have had a last minute cancellation for our October trip, so let us know if you would like to join us for four days of diving one of the best dive sites in the world. The trip price includes 5 nights accommodation, gear hire, transfers from Whangarei, all meals while at the poor Knights and unlimited diving. A liveaboard is the best way to see the Poor Knights, waking up to a new dive site each morning with great visibility and warm water.

Join Jerry for a shore dive on Saturday morning, meeting at Splash at 9.30am and heading off at 10am.

NAPIER TRIP...shark feeding at the aquarium October 1st
Join us for a relaxing weekend in Napier. Car pool to Napier on the Friday, spend Saturday in the Aquarium hand feeding the sharks and stingrays and head home on the Sunday. Includes two nights accommodation and daily breakfast. This is a great family trip.
TAUPO AND WAIKATO RIVER...October 29th
Join Dave for a weekend of diving in Taupo. If you are thinking about doing your advanced open water course, deep specialty course or altitude specialty, why not combine it with a weekend away. We also do a drift dive down the Waikato River. Trip includes three nights accommodation, 5 dives, breakfasts and lunches.
PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
This months category is scallops, take a photo with a scallop in it. So this is your chance to be creative and the scallop can be in the water, out of the water or on your plate. Print the photo and bring it into Splash to put on the photoboard. Each month a winner will be chosen to go on next years calendar and the top three overall will win some great prizes.
DRYSUIT TRIAL
Trident have kindly given us some trial drysuits to use over the next few months and then sell off cheaply to our customers. If you have never been for a dive in a drysuit and would like to give it a go, give us a call. We will be running a drysuit specialty course which includes theory session, pool training and two sea dives all for $195. $35 if you would just like to have a go in the pool.The drysuits will be selling at $1000 which is 50% off.
NIGHT DIVE
Join Dave for a night dive next Tuesday. Either come out for a fun dive or have it signed off towards your advanced course or night specialty. $45 for dive club members includes torch and gear hire.
REFRESH YOUR SKILLS NOW so you don't miss the diving this summer
We have a refresher course planned for those that haven't been in the water for a while. Join us for an hour in the 5 metre pool at Kilbirnie, going back over some of the basics and getting comfortable in the water again. Sunday September 12th 8pm to 10pm includes gear set up and break down, buddy checks, pool skills and equipment hire all for $35.
